Membership:
If you are physically able to walk for hours at a time, you may be qualified to be a
"patrol" member of the TBM Security Unit
If you wish to assist the Texas
Baptist Men's Security Unit in a "non-patrol" capacity, you may be eligible to
become a "logistics" member of the Texas Baptist Men's Emergency Task Force
Security Unit.

Mission Statement: The
Security unit is dedicated to keeping the peace and protecting the food,
property, and volunteers that God has provided the Texas Baptist Men in times of
disaster relief. |

Purpose:
The purpose of the Security Unit is to "keep the peace" so that God’s
people may witness to others in their time of need. The primary duty of the
Security Unit is to assist in preventing loss of property, prevent the
tampering or contamination of food and equipment, and to preserve the safety of
those whom God has called to service at a Texas Baptist Men Emergency Task Force
disaster relief site. |

Duties:
Security Unit
members will be assigned duties in security positions as needed at the disaster
relief operation site. These duties may include, but are not limited to,
maintaining security at a Texas Baptist Men Emergency Task Force Security
Operation Center, maintaining security at any other locations deemed necessary
by the Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief Coordinator, his designee, or the
Security Director, maintaining crowd control, performing logistic duties such as
creating identification cards, and checking members in and out of a disaster
relief event. |
